New Video Production 101: Turn 25 Days of Practice into a Finished Story
· Ty Turner

A folder full of clips is the beginning. The next step is learning how to turn them into a story someone can follow.
Video Production 101: 25-Day Challenge is now inside FlashFilm Academy. It connects the decisions before the shoot, the work on set, and the choices in the edit into one practical learning path.
Practice the whole production
You will work through camera preparation, lenses, continuity, composition, movement, and visual storytelling. Lighting and audio lessons help you pay attention to the details that can make a production feel more controlled and easier to watch.
The course also covers field production, studio production, interviews, and capturing action. DaVinci Resolve editing lessons build through organizing a project, refining the cut, working with color and sound, and preparing a final export.
Work toward a finished piece
The capstone target is a 90–180 second story with clear dialogue, purposeful sequences, controlled light, consistent color, and a checked export. It gives your practice a destination and gives you work you can review with a critical eye.
Each day combines learning, practice, a proof-of-work item, and a test. Plan for roughly 20–30 minutes of learning and 30–60 minutes of practice; take more time when a skill needs another attempt.
Build a process you can repeat
This challenge is for creators who want a clearer production workflow and more confidence connecting their footage into a finished piece. Check the course’s equipment requirements before beginning.
